Ceremony Instructions

Attending the Ceremony

This year, CityU Paris will celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating Class of 2024 at the annual Convocation Ceremony in Paris on Friday, September 6, 2024.

The ceremony will be held at:

For graduating students

Students who wish to walk in Convocation Ceremony 2024 must fulfill all graduation requirements. Students with questions about their eligibility should contact graduation@cityuparis.fr

For guests

All guests wishing to attend the ceremony must be in possession of tickets to enter the venue hall. Upon registration, tickets are issued to your email as a QR code. At the reception desk, show the QR code to get your guest tag. Wear the tag all the time until the end of the ceremony.

We adhere to strict privacy policy to ensure a pleasant and memorable ceremony experience both for our students and their loved ones.

Unregistered guests will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.

Ceremony Schedule

12:00 pm - 12:30pm: Graduating students must arrive at the venue hall for registration and photography session. Late arrivals will not be included in the proceedings.

12:30 pm: Guests are admitted. Tickets must be in hand as guests will need to be in possession of tickets to be let inside the theater. Guests are seated in the assigned seating area, with the exception of marked areas reserved for the President's guests.

12:35 pm - 1:30 pm: Convocation Ceremony

1:35 pm - 2:40pm: Reception with champagne Venue hall will be closed latest by 2:50pm by the host. 

Recording & Photography

Please note that this event will not be live-streamed.

Official CityU Paris photographers will be on site to capture graduation portraits of all graduating students, as well as general coverage of the ceremony. Students will be able to access their individual portraits for free online in the following weeks.

Please be informed that capturing personal photographs or videos during the official ceremony is not permitted. We kindly ask guests to remain seated to avoid obstructing the view of others. These guidelines are in place to ensure a pleasant and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
